# Supported versions

The minimum supported version of **Bitbucket DC** to use with **GitProtect** is **3.0.4** (all versions **newer than 3.0.4** are also supported). **GitProtect** enables you to back up your repositories along with their metadata, regardless of the operating system hosting the **Bitbucket Data Center** instance.
