License management

Cancellation and extension of a license purchased for GitProtect through a marketplace are handled and billed by the marketplace itself, without GitProtect involvement.

Extending your license

To change/extend your GitProtect subscription in GitHub Marketplace, go to your account settings (profile picture > ⚙️ Settings) and expand the Billing and licensing menu in Access section. Select Additional billing details from the drop-down menu, then click Edit > Change plan in your GitProtect marketplace app.

In the next window, open the drop-down menu and select one of the available subscription models you want to switch your current plan to. Enter all required information (name, billing method, etc.) and click Issue plan changes to finalize the transaction.

License cancellation

To cancel your GitProtect subscription in GitHub Marketplace, go to your account settings (profile picture > ⚙️ Settings) and expand the Billing and licensing menu in Access section. Select Additional billing details from the drop-down menu, then click Edit > Cancel plan in your GitProtect marketplace app.

Confirm your choice by clicking OK in the pop-up. Your GitProtect license subscription will then be cancelled.
