LFS recovery

LFS is a Git extension that tracks large files by storing their binary content in separate remote storage, while keeping lightweight references to those files in your repository’s commits.

GitProtect allows you to back up and recover LFS in Azure DevOps & DevOps Server. During the recovery process, you can choose whether to include LFS metadata.

LFS recovery can be enabled during the recovery process.

LFS must be restored together with the repository; it cannot be restored separately.

If Git Large File Storage (Git LFS) objects are included in your repository’s source code archives, downloading those archives will count toward the repository’s bandwidth usage.
