Selecting the highest encryption mode—AES-CBC 256—provides the strongest level of cryptographic security. When enabling it in GitProtect, you will notice the following warning message:
This information simply indicates that a high level of encryption may affect backup or restore times. The process of encrypting and decrypting data depends on the available resources of the device performing the backup or restore operation.
The use of AES-CBC 256 encryption does not affect the accuracy or reliability of backup and recovery operations.
