Password Reset (on-premise, SaaS)

In this article, you will get the information on how to reset the root password in on-premise and SaaS installed GitProtect

Password reset

On-premise

If you have access to your management service Open Settings and next go to Accounts

Find your root account and hit the pencil icon

Type the old root password and new root password twice in the correct fields

Hit the Save button.

If you don't have access to your management service

Hit the Forgot password? link

Fill the field with the correct root e-mail address

Root password are already changed.

You can find it in a file in the path:

C:\ProgramData\Xopero ONE\Xopero ONE Backup&Recovery Service\pwdreset\email@domain.com.txt

SaaS

If you have access to your management service Open Settings and next go to Accounts

Find your root account and hit the pencil icon

Type the old root password and new root password twice in the correct fields

Hit the Save button

If you don't have access to your management service

Hit the Forgot password? link

Fill the field with the correct root e-mail address

Your root password is already changed.

Check the e-mail address, which was used to create the root account.
