Add A New Password

In this article, you will get information on how to add a new password to the password manager in GitProtect.

Add a new password

In general, passwords in password manager are used during adding new storage and integrating with VMware, Microsoft 365, or DevOps environments. To add a new password to the password manager go to the "Settings" tab and next to "Password Manager"

Hit the "Add new" button and next select "Password" and hit it.

Fill in the name of the password in the password manager

Set your password and confirm it.

Add an optional comment to the description field.

If all the required fields are filled hit the "Save" button.

At this moment your password is added to the password manager and you can start work with it.
