Edit Or Remove Existing Password

In this article, you will get information on how to edit an already existing password or encryption key in the password manager in GitProtect.

Edit or remove existing password

In general, all the passwords or encryption keys edited in the password manager will change in all places, where you are using them. For example, if your VMware password has changed and you want to edit it in GitProtect because backup tasks don't perform, you need to only in one place - in Password Manager. Nowhere else. To edit an already existing password or encryption key in the password manager in GitProtect, go to the "Settings" tab and next to "Password Manager"

Select the password or encryption key, which you want to edit and press the pencil button.

Fill in the field responsible for setting the new password or encryption key and hit the "Save" button.

At this place, you also are able to see an already existing password or encryption key using the eye button.
